The Scottish Salmon Company last month announced record sales for the first quarter of 2014, following an increase in exports and a deal to supply sushi restaurants and food shops. The company posted a 48% increase on their revenue figures for the first quarter of 2013, growing from £18.7m to £27.7m.

Exports to the Far East, US and Europe created 48% of the company’s revenue, up from 35% in the previous year.

When transporting frozen and perishable produce across continents, the temperature must be monitored, in order to ensure the product meets the strict food safety legislation in each country.

Clive Bratt at Abacus Guardian comments “With Scottish Salmon Company’s growth in the export market, it’s vital that they keep monitoring the temperature at which their produce is kept. Abacus Guardian wireless temperature monitoring system allows you to remotely monitor this temperature, and will alert you when it drops or rises outside your preset parameters.”
